- Awards and special mentions to our awesome leader team !
- And as always, the year in review - photos and reports of our amazing activities, camps, and achievements of the past 12 months
With special guests including our District Commissioner, its your chance to ask any questions you may have about 1st Willoughby, and Scouting in general.
We will also be farewelling our outgoing Committee, and nominating new Committee members for 2026/27 and we need you to volunteer to serve 12 months on our Committee.
Committee serves an essential role in the background, supporting our uniformed leader team in the smooth running of the Group. Committee meets once per term to co-ordinate activities.
Many of our Committee members are long serving, and looking to step down. There are lots of positions to fill so we are needing some parents to step up for a year on Committee. :
- Treasurer : process 15-30 transactions per month through our bank account, and using our MYOB accounting software. An hour or so per week.
- Hall Hire Officer : communicate with and invoice our regular Hall hirers, as well as co-ordinate our regular hall cleaning service. Around 4-5 hours per term.
- Casual Hire Co-ordinator : Respond to enquiries for Casual Hall hire. Bill them and return their deposits at the end of a successful hire. An hour or 2 every couple of weeks.
- Hall Trustee : Look after hall maintenance issues. Use our network of handymen, locksmiths, plumbers and electricians to co-ordinate essential works. A few hours here and there as needed.
- Fundraising Officer : Apply for Grants, and organise our Bunnings Barbecue and help run the annual Xmas Tree sale
- Secretary : Take minutes of the termly meetings, distribute following the meeting, and follow up on key tasks
