On Saturday, 5 September (the day before Father’s Day ❤️), First Willoughby Scouts will once again be running our annual Bunnings BBQ and Cake Stall. Along with our Christmas Tree sale, it's one of only two major fundraisers we hold each year and plays a vital role in making our Scouting program possible.

Every sausage sold and every cake donated helps provide the equipment, camps, adventurous activities, leadership opportunities and resources that enrich the Scouting experience for every young person in our Group.

But this day is about much more than fundraising.

It's also an opportunity for our youth members to put Scouting into action—working as a team, serving the community, developing confidence, leadership and communication skills, and experiencing the satisfaction of contributing to something bigger than themselves.

When families volunteer alongside them, we reinforce those same values. We show our young people that service, community and giving back are values we live together, not just talk about.

Volunteering is also a wonderful way to:

🤝 Meet and connect with other Scout families.

💚 Strengthen our Scout community.

😊 Share a fun day working together.

🌟 Help create opportunities for every young person in our Group—including your own child.

We'd love your help!

Whether you can:

🍰 Bake for the cake stall

🌭 Cook or serve at the BBQ 

💰 Help sell cakes or serve customers

🚚 Assist with set-up or pack-down

Every contribution makes a difference. When more families get involved, the workload is shared, the day is more enjoyable, and together we can continue providing the vibrant, adventurous and rewarding Scouting experience our youth deserve.
